IDIL Fibres Optiques introduces an innovative generation of systems and components for opto-pyrotechnics. These solutions use precisely controlled laser pulses, transmitted through optical fibers, to activate opto-pyro initiators (IOPs) or detonators (DOPs) in applications such as launchers and thrusters.
A complete and safe opto-pyro system includes a Laser Unit (LFU) emitting a NIR light pulse travelling through a ground Optical Harness (OH) to reach its designated point. Multiple stage Safety Barriers (SB) ensure the entire opto-pyro channel integrity.

3 Operating Modes
STAND-BY MODE: Adjust your lasers parameters (duration, power). Wait for command from remote controller.
TEST MODE: Check the integrity of the opto-pyro line with a low power laser at a safe wavelength.
ACTIVATION MODE: Once the system passes the integrity test, deliver the optical pulse. After completion, the system returns to stand-by mode for safety.
EXPERT USER – CALIBRATION MODE
A personal password is required to access the calibration mode and prepare the activation sequence. Most of the safety barriers are unlocked, except the mechanical ones: interlock, keys, harness presence, OSB. An activation command can be sent without prior line test.
STANDARD USER – SOFTWARE REMOTE CONTROL MODE
Laser duration and power can be remotely configured in a secure manner. Each of the 3 modes can then be sequentially activated until the final activation command.
